It was in the year 1931, on 15th of October that a great soul and a noble man was born to Jainulabdeen and Ashiamma in Rameshwaram, TN, India. He was named Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam. Hardly anyone was aware of the fact that he would give India a new recognition in the space club. He was born into a poor family but still never overlooked his education. He was good in Mathematics and after completing his school he used to help his father in earning a living for family. In year 1954 he completed his graduation in physics from the University of Madras. He lost his interest on this subject and decided to move to Madras in 1954 for studying aerospace engineering from Madras Institute of Technology. His dream was to become a fighter pilot, but he missed the chance closely as he got the 9th position in the qualifier list when the vacancy was just for 8………………………….
