Chintu: Mommy, if I swallow a watermelon seed, will a tree grow in my tummy?
Mom: No, Chintu Beta ! That’s just a silly fable.
Chintu: Phew! I wasn’t ready to be a tree yet! Will I ever become a tree?
Mom: (Laughing) Why not? With time you will become one. You’d get plenty of sun, birds would sing on your branches, and squirrels might even throw you birthday parties…….. in your dreams.
Chintu: Wide-eyed Wait… do I get cake at the squirrel party?
Mom: Only if you don’t drop all your acorns before dessert.
Chintu: Hmm… okay. But what if I grow a watermelon plant and it tickles my ribs?
Mom: Then we’ll name it “Twiggy” and teach it to do the cha-cha.
Chintu: Yay! Twiggy can be my dance partner at the school talent show!
Mom: Just remember—no photosynthesis before bedtime.
Chintu: Nods seriously Got it—no sunbathing after 8.
