I – Ice Cream Plan

Ahana: (Eyes full of cuteness] Mumma, if I eat multiple ice creams, will I turn into one?

Mom: [Laughing loudly] No, Beta! How can you be one?

Ahana: (With a Sorry Face) Aww… I wanted to be a strawberry flavored Mumma. How can I be one?

Mom: Strawberry? Why strawberry Beta?

Ahana: Because it’s pink and pretty- Just like me! And also, I think it makes people happier than broccoli. The moment they taste me… they will feel heaven, and I will be happy as Ice Cream. 🙂

Mom: That’s fair. But what would happen if you melted on a sunny day? Where Will I get you?

Ahana: I’d hide in the fridge! Or we will shift to Antarctica and stay with the penguins. They’d love me because they are as cute as me. I’d be the coolest snack on the iceberg!

Mom: You thought this through, huh? I admire your imagination and thought process, my love. 😉

Ahana: Yup! And I’d have sprinkles on my head, and a cone hat! People would say, “Look, it’s Princess Strawberry Swirl!” (Happiness overloaded on her face)

Mom: What about your little brother? Would he be an ice cream too like you? (With a curious face)

Ahana: Noooo Wayyyyyyy. He’d be a Brussels sprout. Because he turns grumpy and green when he loses at video games.

Mom: So what’s Daddy then- What character do you see in him Beta? ( smiling bright ) 🙂

Ahana: Hmm… [thinking hard] He’s probably a tub of vanilla. Big, plain, but still sweet. And he melts down when I hug him with love and he hugs back too while kissing my forehead. He is such a sweet papa, Oh mumma.

Mom: You’ve got the whole freezer section mapped out.

Ahana: One day, I’ll open my ice cream shop. And I’ll name it… (With a mischievous face) “I-Scream for Ice Cream!”

Mom: Catchy Name! What will be your best-selling flavor?

Ahana: “Homework-Free Fudge” – it erases all your homework when you eat it!

Mom: I’ll take two scoops, please.
