The recent trend in the sci- fi films has changed. Much experimentation has been made at the time of Stanley Kubrick only and now that more and more directors as well as the scriptwriters are coming with new planning, the viewers are also enjoying the new routes of science fiction films.
Dystopian films are now the primary attention now. After District 9 and Elysium director Neill Bloomkamp has made a wide premise for the dystopian adventures that have close affinity with the present day. With Chappie Neill brought another sci-fi with all the questions to answer for the future of technology and the parts the present generation plays for that.
However, the film is not crammed with questions only. The film offers a pretty simple narrative with attractive visual effects. At the same time quality performances by the leading characters, Dev Patel, Sharlto Copley and also Huge Jack man has attracted the viewers to the fullest extent. Yes, of course the viewers will find much alikeness with the last reboot of the Robocop franchise, but at the same time the film is not a mere copy paste.
Ground breaking visual effects, proper and timely editing and most important, high quality photography, director Neill Bloomkamp dealt with all these and provided the best one can have. Adding to this is the gloomy and dark mood that suites with the high quality execution of sound effects. The result is a complete package that the viewers can enjoy and evaluate.
Thinking about making a visit at the hall to watch this movie? Please do. Not only that it is absolute entertainment, but also it offers you fruits for thought.
