Horror stories are not easy to write as the writers need to be able to create sheer fear in the minds and hearts of people using only their words. Author Prashant Wase has mastered this skill in his very first book Ensnare, which offers a taste of the dark side of Tantra. I started feeling the chill right from the moment I saw the cover page of the book which perfectly reflects the theme of the story enclosed within.
As I started reading the book, I knew the journey was going to be extremely thrilling and exciting. Every page presented a new twist and turn making the book totally unpredictable while also maintaining my interest till the last word.
The book tells the story of the perfect couple Neil and Divya, who seem to be leading a perfect life. However, they soon start experiencing some strange events around them and even their family and friends are not untouched by these unusual experiences. With no way to escape, Neil and Divya along with the other well defined characters of the story including Vijay, Sam and Diana, haveto find a way to escape the horrors of the mansion they are trapped in.
Ensnared is good read that reflects the high levels of imagination of the author. The sort and crisp storyline ensures that the readers are constantly on their toes while reading the book and do not get much time to think or relax. I really loved reading Ensnared, which had all the right elements expected from a book of this genre. However, the book does have one great drawback which comes in the form of its confused writing style. Rest the novel posses all features of becoming a bestseller in its genre.
Despite one flaw Prashant Wase has great potential as a writer and we expect him to overcome this flaw in his next book!
