Book Review of The Blogchatter Book of Love
Book Review of The Blogchatter Book of Love – An Anthology Exploring Different Shades of Love
Over the past several years, I have grown to love anthologies. They open up a world of possibilities and perceptions that novels following a single storyline can rarely unravel.
Whether it is a poetic anthology or anthologies featuring short stories, these books provide countless options for the human mind to explore. So, when I got an opportunity to review The Blogchatter Book of Love, it was like my most cherished was coming true.
Premise: The Blogchatter Book of Love
The Blogchatter Book of Love features 18 short stories from authors belonging to the Blogchatter community. Each story focuses on a different aspect of love and life and leaves a lasting impression on the readers’ minds. Even though the stories are simple, they offer deep insights into the various forms of love and their complexities. The stories help the readers understand that love can be binding and can also set us free. It might cause unbearable heartache, but it is also a source of great happiness. Love is not just about fulfillment and satisfaction but also involves hurt and loss. The book is the right resource to understand why love makes the world go round.
I have three personal favourites in this anthology. The first one is by Swarnali Nath “Janmabhumishcha” and I can connect myself so well with the story. Faridpur the place mentioned in the story has a connection with my father too and so after losing him very recently I got the opportunity through this story to revive some childhood stories of him. The second story that touched my heart is by Ambica Gulati – Soulmates: Whispers of Destiny. I found so many shades of love in the story and the angle of astrology brought at the end of the story made me smile. Being an occult science practitioner, it actually gave me another reason to smile besides the love saga of the protagonists. A Cry for love by Varunika Rajput is another story which I truly loved.
Writing Style: The Blogchatter Book of Love
Since the book is an anthology, each contributing writer has followed his/her unique style. That enhances the book’s engagement and makes it more interesting to read. The language used throughout the book is simple, and the flow of the stories is quite good. With multiple authors, readers can enjoy the views, ideas, and creativity of writers with different mindsets and belonging to diverse backgrounds. It is reflected in their writing and makes each story stand out.
