Vedanta is one of the five books in the series on Spirituality And Leadership penned by Pranay Gupta, a renowned Indian expert of world and Indian spirituality. I was really eager to read the book as I expected it to enlighten me about the oldest religious texts of Hinduism, namely the Vedas and Upanishads. Like all other books in the series, this book also had a cover page with a simple yet attractive design. It has a large “Om”, inscribed on a colorful background creating an overall mesmerizing effect. From the moment, I received the book, I felt an unusual sense of excitement and thrill which prompted me to start reading it in earnest.
The book focuses on highlighting the fact that the ultimate objective of an individual’s life is to realize their own divinity, which is also a philosophy propagated by ancient religious scriptures of Hinduism. The book presents the deep knowledge and learnings of Vedas and Upanishads in a distilled form to make them easier for the readers to understand. The timeless and important teachings of these scriptures have been judiciously composed by the author into a self-help guide that can help potential leaders to attain great success through self-realization. The book also discusses Guru Adi Shankracharya’s views on realizing the presence of the divine within themselves by individuals in great detail. It also teaches the readers about attaining inner peace by learning to develop it through patience and practice.
I loved the manner in which the author has explained the difficult and intricate teachings of the Vedas and Upnishads quite simply through Vedanta: Spirituality For Leadership And Success. Each of its 21 chapters presents some valuable insight into how an individual can get rid of emotional and mental anxiety besides learning the art of clarifying their mind through self-inquiry and the development of loyalty. The book also helps potential leaders to understand the most effective way to maintain balance and be watchful while handling difficult situations. Most importantly, it helps such individuals to develop the traits that are essential for them to become visionary leaders. It is an exceptionally great book in every respect and can help readers to develop the key qualities that leaders must have to reach the pinnacle of success without losing their true self in the process.
I am really grateful to the author for connecting me so well with the concept behind Vedanta. I wish to read many more such spiritual books of Author Pranay.
