IT has become an integral part of every aspect of modern life and has in many ways created a sense of equality and fairness among people. Quite surprisingly, I came across this book that highlights the growing impact and future scope of IT in the functioning of various systems. Penned by J Prakash and titled IT Killed Capitalism. Thank You Mr. Gates., appealed to me for two unique reasons. The first is that despite being aged above 70 years, the author has shown a deep insight into the way Millenials think. Secondly, the book is about a topic that we use and come across countless times during the day.
Premise:
The book is unusual in that it comprises an informative collection of articles written by the author over a period of time. Yes, you heard it right and wrote it in the first person. It’s his own experience in the industry. The 435 pages of the book dwell deeply on the various aspects and the pros and cons of the IT industry. Certainly, I am not an IT person, but being the better half of an IT specialist, I am quite accustomed to the terminologies of IT frameworks, programs, codes and hold a little bit of idea also on the same. The book has been penned down in a manner that helps the readers understand through the insights of an industry leader how IT and big tech have helped mankind, to reach new heights of development and ensure rapid advances in every industrial sector.
Writing style:
The writing style is well structured, with the book divided into chapters and sub-chapters for ease of understanding. The author has adopted a straightforward approach for discussing various issues and topics and providing a new perspective for the readers to examine in each chapter. The language is simple, although there are more than quite a few technical terms, that the author has tried to explain. And here I am personally thankful to the author as a reader for increasing my vocabulary and ideologies about the IT world.
Who Should Read It:
The book is aimed at millennials or anyone interested in understanding the increasing role of IT in our lives and professions. If you are the one with a dream to make big in this industry, then do read this book, and it will help you.
Final Verdict:
This is a good book for people seeking detailed information about the growth and future of IT and I give it 4.5/5.

That’s an interesting one. Being an IT employer, I can understand how it can rule out and help to establish the socialist culture. Nice review, must and interesting read.
Didi this book I was going to read but I felt not good and somehow I wilk be bored for which I didn’t go for it. the book takes a huge look on IT part which may be not of my interest but may be I missed a nice one.
I have read books with first person but they were either self help books or autobiography. However, from your review, it looks like you really enjoyed the articles and the collection sounds amazing.
This seems to be an interesting one. What goes on in the IT industry is something that many of us don’t know. Sometimes reading a non fiction book like this turns out to be very informative.
It seems something a non-IT person won’t be able to enjoy this. It is a very particular subject.
IT is constantly evolving and changing our world and culture. This is an interesting topic to look into. The author must have done a lot of research into this area.
