What do you mean by relationship? To me, a relationship is a bond …. A bond not just made of love but with trust. I am not a fan of love or romantic stories, yes exceptions are there in love stories, and with that hope, I picked up this book My Better Half forever by Arushi Vats to read. Trust in a relationship needs to be so strong that even in the worst situation that remains intact. It will establish the strength of the relation.
The story has two key characters Malvika and Rahul. Malvika is a young girl known for her jolliness and carefree life. But happiness bid adieu in her life when her brother left the world untimely. This massive loss created a panic and setback in her life. She needs to take the advice of a psychiatrist to overcome the condition. Life seemed to show some color for Malvika when she joined college.
In college, she came across a charming boy Rahul. They became friends, and this friendship reached the next level when they participated together in the college dance competition. The new love in her life gave her the feeling of a second chance to be happy. But happiness was again short-lived for Malvika as Rahul left her all of a sudden? But why?
Well, here I need to add that, Rahul too comes with a bad past? Rahul after losing his father tried to show the world his strong face, although he was heartbroken from inside. It was the time when he met Malvika in college.
Malvika kept the panic attack history hidden from him for so long. My question is … Is this love? If you are truly in love, then you need to trust that person and be clear about your past and present. If he/she accepts you after that, then I consider it true love. Or else, it’s a mere infatuation. Will destiny give them the chance to meet again? If they meet, will Rahul manage to discover the hidden secret of Malvika’s life? Will he stay back to be with her forever? I am sure you all readers will be looking for this answer, and I insist why not read it and discover the climax of the story.
Coming to what I liked about the book
-
I like the cover page as its beautifully designed and represent the true theme of the story
-
Although the story base is very common … but the essence of freshness I can feel in the story.
-
Narration and the style of writing are simple. It is perfect for readers of any age group who loves romantic tales.
-
Characterizations and their developments done well.
What I didn’t like?
-
A few immature scenes I found in the storyline, which in reality, I don’t believe happens now
-
There is disconnection of flows in many instances where I moved back few pages to connect
In the end, I can say that this book is a definite one-time read and perfect for readers in love with the romance genre. Young college-goers will find the book interesting.
Well after taking into account the effort author made to weave this beautiful story, to turn it appealing for readers, I will give it 4/5.

Second chances are something we never talk about, in this age of digital media and cancel culture we get to bash our other halves on the first instance, I think this book is something to look forward to
Yes love and trust are the basis on which a relationship is built… I’ve been seeing this book all over now. After reading your review i have decided to grab it soon… thank you
Great review. Book about second chances. There are very few such books. Thanks for introducing me to this book.
Your reviews are always so fantastic. I like the concept of this book but as I have had enough romance and stuff related to that, I will pass this time.
Romcom is one of my least preferred genres. Loved your take on the positive and negative points. But I will check this out.
I loke the way you have strated your review by highlighting the key point of the book. And also, the fact that you reviews the cover aand story is more attractive. Loved your review.
I was about to pick this book but was pretty unsure to pick this as I recently not loving books on this genre. But now I repent hilariously. Let’s see if I can give it a try amidst my exams. ❤️
In relationships trust is very important and it is something that’s easily broken. Therefore the second chance. However I feel that should be the limit, the second chance. No more changes after that.
I like books on a second chance. They are rare. But this story seems to basic for expert readers who are more into a complex plot. But at the same time, we need a light read too sometimes, so it can be the one.
You have very well mentioned in your review that trust is a strongest foundation of any relationship. If this book goes with the same message, then I will sure give it a read in June 🙂
Trust is the core of any relationship. I am also not a fan of romance books but ya by your review this one seems good. I would love to give it a try.
Trust and understanding are the most important factors of a relationship.. I really enjoyed reading it hope you to did..

Your reviews are always so wonderful to read and truly Trust is the most important thing in an relationship.
